Ron and Chua sizzled in ARFC's emphatic 3-1 win

Determined to shrug off last week’s unlucky loss to the SJO Old Boys (young team), ARFC bounced back with an emphatic 3-1 victory against a tough Glasgow Hotspurs.

ARFC stamped it authoriy right from the start.  In the 15^th min, Alvin floated in a hanging corner that saw both Soon and Darren going for the kill.  The ball then ricochetted off Soon’s head for a 1-0 lead. This was Soon’s 73^rd ARFC goal.

15 seconds before half-time, Darren’s torpedo-like throw-in saw Toh backheaded the ball to the gleeful Wayne who was unmaked at the far post.  Wayne simply could not miss as he tapped the ball into the empty net. 2-0 and this was Wayne’s 21^st ARFC goal.

In the 2^nd half and in its zest to pile on more goals, ARFC conceded a goal from their counter-attack. 2-1

In the 77^th min, ARFC finally scored its 3^rd goal. From Ron’s long free-kick from his defence position, Alvin calmly controlled the ball before thumping the ball past their despairing keeper. Alvin’s 283^rd ARFC goal almost ripped the net off. 3-1
