Derrick grabbed a brace in 6-0 victory

Supported by so many children due to Mother’s Day (to give the wives an off-day by themselves), ARFC brushed aside W & F 6-0 with very well-taken goals.

Probably due to insufficient warm-up, ARFC had a shaky start and was troubled by the opponents who gave ARFC a few nervous moments. Thankfully, Elvis led the defence well once again.

Javier opened the scoring with a long-range missile that took a wicked deflection to leave their GK wrong-footed.  1-0 and this was Javier’s 5^th ARFC goal, and 2 goals in 2 successive matches for ARFC.

Lucas then bettered Javier’s goal when he also let fly from distance that gave their GK no chance at all.  2-0 and this was Lucas’ 7^th ARFC goal.

In the 2^nd half, Derrick came on as a player and scored with his first touch of the match.  From a corner, Derrick profited from a pressure and easily prodded the ball home for his 109^th ARFC goal. 3-0

7 mins later, Derrick grabbed a brace when he chased down an error by their defender to slot past their despairing GK. 4-0 and this was Derrick’s 110^th ARFC goal.

With this goal, Derrick moved past Hee (109 goals) to stay at the no. 5 position on ARFC’s all-time leading scorers’ list.  Derrick is now just one goal behind Sebastian who occupied the no.4 position with 111 ARFC goals.

Darren then demonstrated his long-throw prowess which was flicked on by Toh, who is slowly but surely regaining his high level with recent commanding displays, and netted by guest player Shahrul. 5-0

With virtually the last kick of the match, Larry whipped in a ferocious free-kick that left their GK stranded. 6-0 and this was Larry’s 4^th ARFC goal.
