The lack of sufficient warm-up showed when ARFC conceded a goal within 177 seconds from the kick-off.  0-1

ARFC then woke up from its slumber and gradually had the upper hand in the match.

In the 7th min, ARFC equalised with a very well-taken goal from Wei Lit.

From the middle, Sebastian passed to Guoxiong on the right.  Concurrently, Wei Lit started his diagonal run from the left which was well read by Guoxiong.  With pin-point chip, Guoxiong’s great ball was picked up by Wei Lit in the box on the right side and despite being challenged by their covering defender and with their GK closing down the angle, Wei Lit just managed to place the ball past their GK to the far bottom corner before falling down.  Brilliant goal and it was Wei Lit’s 16th ARFC goal. 1-1

His goal also moved him on level terms with How Meng at 16 ARFC goals.

Kerwin then drilled a fierce free-kick just slightly wide.

Sebastian’s free kick from the right was headed away by their defender, highlighting that Toh’s aerial prowess was solely missed.

Wayne then curled his corner from the right but no one managed to get their head to the ball.

ARFC then somehow conceded another 2 soft goals to trail 1-3 at half-time.

The complacency malaise continued to plague ARFC as within 70 seconds from the re-start, ARFC let in yet another soft goal. 1-4

ARFC tried its best to claw its way back to the match but was further demoralised by another gift goal in the 70th min to lose 1-5.
