ARFC soon fell ahead after the opponents benefitted from a poor referee call when he missed a clear offside.  0-1.

Kerwin then punted a long and accurate drop-kick behind their defence which Wayne took a great first touch before poking the ball past their bewildered GK. 1-1 and this was Wayne’s 46th ARFC goal.

The opponents then regained the lead when it profited from yet another lousy call from the referee who missed an obvious offside again. 1-2

Weilit then continued his recent good form when he embarked on a mazy dribbling down the left and easily glided past their right-back.  In the latter’s desperation, he clumsily hacked down Weilit for a penalty.  Wayne brushed aside others to take the spot-kick which he duly despatched past their GK for his 47th ARFC goal.

2-2 and this goal was also the 50th goal scored by the ARFC open team in 2019.

With 7 seconds to go before half-time, the opponents scored a free-kick.

ARFC tried to find its 3rd equaliser in the 2nd half but to no avail despite several chances created.
