ARFC lost 1-4 to mediocre team

Playing against a rather mediocre team, GMers, ARFC put up an even mediocre performance to lose 1-4.

Prior to the match, ARFC received 2 huge blows as Alvin and Chun Haw failed to turn up despite saying they will come. ARFC then had to risk playing Derrick which turned out to be a very bad move.

ARFC took the lead in the 7^th min. From his left-back position, Blackburn passed to Sebastian who, after hearing Haron’s call for the ball, instinctively sliced a high ball with his left foot into the heart of their defence.  Haron’s great first touch took him away from their sweeper but what followed was world-class. Spotting their goalkeeper a bit off and without breaking his stride, Haron bent a arching ball over their keeper for his 221^st ARFC goal. 1-0

The opponents soon equalized. 1-1

Derrick then came on but only lasted 33 seconds when he aggravated his knee injury.  Unlucky!

ARFC then conceded 2 more goals to trail 1-3.

ARFC also had a couple of chances but were denied by their goalkeeper who had an outstanding match. 

Particularly, Kenny's long range rocket was turned over the bar. 

In the 2^nd half, ARFC nearly pulled a goal back. Tjioe’s Glenn-Hoddle-like high through ball found Weilit in the box but he only contrived to fire wide with only the keeper to beat.

Weilit then wriggled his way down the left bye-line and his square ball found Soon whose shot was well saved by their keeper.

By now, ARFC was really tiring and conceded another late goal to lose 1-4.
